Welcome to my blog.

I chose the name, 21stCenturyWife, because for me, it encapsulates many of the things that I want to write about.

I thought about calling it 21stCenturyLife . . . . but that seemed a little too grand. 21stCenturyWife (it sounds better read with a sprinkling of post-feminist irony) will focus on the things that interest me, and - I hope - a lot of people like me.

There will be a number of main themes:

Men and Women (Work/life Balance, Role Balance, Bank Balance)
Seize the Day (Holidays; Health; Aspirations; Entertainment)
Techno-Mummy (Reviews and comparisons of items from cars to mobile phones)
Saving the Planet (Renewable energy; Recycling, cycling . . .)
Glass Half Full (Earwiggings and quotes . . .)
Local Stuff

My aim is to add something on at least one of these themes every week and as I'm not a complete egomaniac, I'd appreciate contributions from others.

Practically everything in this blog is available for publication either as it stands or in an amended form.
